Tooley Street Terrace
Along with 7 More London Riverside, the existing terrace of buildings located along Tooley Street is the last remaining plot awaiting development in the More London Estate. Although not listed, the building lies within a conservation area and remains a fragment of a former streetscape.
The scheme helps create a visual bridge between the architecture of the new commercial spaces of More London's development and the low-rise terraced buildings on Tooley Street.
The development is a combination of renovation and new build elements. St John's Tavern, the old public house on the corner facing Potters Fields Park, will be refurbished to accommodate a bar at ground and first floors, with ancillary accommodation above. The remainder of the terrace accommodation provides flexible studio / office space over three floors behind retained, refurbished and new facades. The architects are London based Hawkins / Brown.
